Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Murdock Live Apps (“StageConnect”, “we”, “us”) for using the StageConnect website and apps. By creating an account or using StageConnect, you agree to them.

1. What StageConnect is

StageConnect is a marketplace and set of business tools that helps customers, venues and promoters find and book entertainment professionals. StageConnect is not a party to any booking. When a customer and a professional agree on an event, the agreement is between them. We do not employ professionals, guarantee any performance, or handle booking payments.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
Give accurate information and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
One person or business per account. Don't pretend to be someone else.
You can delete your account at any time from My Account.

3. No booking commissions

StageConnect does not take a percentage of any booking. Customers and professionals agree on prices and arrange payment directly between themselves. Any price recorded in StageConnect is a record of what the two of you agreed, not a charge by us. If optional payment processing is offered in the future, any third-party fees will be clearly shown before you use it.

4. Memberships for professionals

Customers and venues use StageConnect free. Professionals get a 30-day free trial with full access, then StageConnect Pro is $9.99 per month, renewing automatically until cancelled (cancel anytime). There is no charge during the free trial.
Paid memberships renew automatically each month until you cancel. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we don't store your full card number.
If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the month you've paid for. Except where the law requires, payments are not refunded for partial months.
We may change prices or plan features. We'll give you notice before a price change affects your membership.
Memberships bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play (if offered) follow those stores' billing and refund rules.

5. Your content

You own what you post (photos, text, logos and links). You give StageConnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and share it on StageConnect and in promoting StageConnect, only as needed to run the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept for legal reasons or in backups for a limited time.

You promise that you have the rights to everything you post, and that it doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights.

6. Music, mixes and videos

StageConnect does not host music or video files. Mixes and videos are shown through the official players of Mixcloud, YouTube and Vimeo, and those services' own terms apply to them.
Only add mixes and videos that you made or have permission to share. Embedding does not by itself make content legal.
We remove content when we receive a valid copyright notice. See Copyright & takedowns.

7. Rules of conduct

Don't use StageConnect to:

harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse anyone;
scam people, ask for payment details or passwords, or arrange fake bookings;
send spam, chain messages or unwanted advertising;
post content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, or infringes someone's rights;
break, overload, scrape or get around the security of StageConnect;
copy other members' profiles or photos.

8. Reports, moderation and suspension

You can report messages, people, profiles, mixes and videos. We review reports and may remove content, hide profiles, or suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. We may act without notice when needed to protect members. If you think we made a mistake, contact us.

9. Badges and reviews

StageConnect does not show public star ratings. Any badge (for example “verified”) only means the specific check described next to it was done; it is not a guarantee of quality or behavior.

10. Disclaimers

StageConnect is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we don't guarantee the conduct of any member or the outcome of any booking. Meet, pay and contract with care.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Murdock Live Apps is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for disputes between members, and our total liability to you is limited to the membership fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using StageConnect and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (like ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability) continue after your account ends.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use StageConnect after that means you accept the new Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State — to be confirmed by your lawyer], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [Dispute resolution terms to be added by your lawyer.]
