Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Murdock Live Apps collects when you use StageConnect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

1. What we collect

Account: your name, email, password (stored only as a secure scrambled hash), account type, and the date you agreed to our Terms.
Profile (professionals and venues): what you choose to add: photos, logo, bio, city and state, service area, categories, prices, services, equipment, social links, and links to your Mixcloud, YouTube or Vimeo content.
Bookings: event details you send or receive (date, times, location, guests, budget, instructions), price suggestions and their history.
Messages: the messages you send and receive, and when they were read.
Calendar: days you mark available or unavailable and any private notes.
Payments: if you buy a membership, our payment provider (Stripe) processes your card. We receive your membership status and billing history, not your full card number.
Reports and support: what you report or send us through Contact & Support.
Technical: basic information needed to run the service securely, such as login sessions and the type of device (web, iPhone, Android).

2. How we use it

To run StageConnect: your account, public page, search, bookings, messages, calendar and reminders.
To place professionals on the map from their city, so customers can search by distance (we don't track your live location).
To send emails and alerts you need (booking updates, messages, reminders, password resets).
To keep members safe: investigate reports, prevent spam and fraud, and enforce our Terms.
To bill memberships and keep required business records.

3. What other members see

Your public page shows what you choose to publish. Your booking email and phone are shown only if you switch “Show on my page” on. A customer's email is shared with a professional only after a booking is confirmed. Messages are visible only to the two people in the conversation (and to our safety team when something is reported).

4. Who we share it with

Service providers who help run StageConnect (hosting, database, email delivery, Stripe for payments), only as needed.
Mixcloud, YouTube and Vimeo when a page shows their player. Those players load from their own sites and may use their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect members and the public.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, photos, calendar, sessions and messages connected to it, except records we must keep for legal, tax or safety reasons, and backups that are overwritten within a limited time.

6. Your choices

Edit or hide your profile and contact details at any time.
Delete your account from My Account.
Ask for a copy of your information, or ask a question about it, through Contact & Support.
Block people in Messages.

Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have extra rights. [Region-specific sections to be added by your lawyer.]

7. Children

StageConnect is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has an account, please contact us.

8. Security

We use secure password hashing, private login sessions, and limit who can see what. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use elsewhere.

9. Changes

We'll update this policy as StageConnect grows, and tell you about important changes.
